Apelin receptors
The apelin receptor (AR or APJ) is a class A (rhodopsin-like) G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) with wide distribution throughout the human body. Activation of the apelin receptor by its cognate peptide ligand apelin induces diverse physiological effects including vasoconstriction and dilation, strengthening of heart muscle contractility, angiogenesis, regulation of energy metabolism, fluid homeostasis and adipocyte endocrine secretion.
Peptides
Cat No. | Product Name | Activity |
---|---|---|
CS-020 | Apelin 12 | C-terminal fragment of the 77 amino acid prepropeptide apelin |
AR-010 | Apelin 36 (human) | Endogenous apelin agonist |
AR-020 | [Pyr1]-Apelin 13 | Endogenous agonist for the apelin APJ receptor |
