Endogenous CCK2 receptor agonist.
Gastrin I (human), is an endogenous peptide produced in the stomach that acts as a selective CCK2 receptor agonist. Gastrin I (human), stimulates gastric acid secretion by the parietal cells and delays gastric emptying, and has also been used in the culture of stomach organoids.
