Melanin concentrating hormone (human, mouse, rat)
Cat. No. MH-010
Structure:
Other Names:
Activity:
Melanin concentrating hormone (human, mouse, rat) is the endogenous agonist at melanin concentration hormone receptors, with IC50 values of 0.3 and 1.5 nM and EC50 values of 3.9 and 0.1 nM at MCH-R1 and MCH-R2 receptors respectively. Melanin concentrating hormone receptors are expressed in the central and peripheral nervous systems and melanin concentrating hormone plays an important role in the control of feeding, energy metabolism, body weight regulation, anxiety, sleep, and reward.
