10 years of Isca Biochemicals

October marks the 10th anniversary of Isca Biochemicals.   Incorporated in October 2012 in Exeter, UK, Isca was founded by peptide scientists who had until that time been the peptide manufacturing arm of Biomol, who already had long experience of offering high quality custom and catalogue peptides to the worldwide life science community under the Biomol brand.  The name Isca derives from the fact that from AD55 Exeter was known as Isca Dumnoniorum, a thriving town, administrative centre for the South West and armoured fortress for the Second Augustan Legion.  Isca is derived from the Celtic word, Eisca, meaning a river full of fish. 

Isca Biochemicals are now firmly established peptide providers, fully equipped with state of the art peptide synthesis facilities in a purpose built laboratory.  The main business of Isca is custom peptide synthesis and we also have a thriving catalogue range of biochemical standard and novel research peptides for use in life science research, which is driven by the continuous introduction of innovative products from the literature, many of which are exclusive to us.
