About Us

Isca Biochemicals have state of the art peptide synthesis facilities based in Exeter, UK, and we have a wealth of experience of offering high quality custom and catalogue products to the worldwide life science community. Our main business is custom peptide synthesis and we also have a thriving catalogue range consisting of biochemical standards and novel research peptides for use in biological research. We also offer a custom antibody service and can handle small molecules and organic chemistry if required.

We manufacture and quality control our own products and this allows us to meet and exceed customer specifications, having oversight of all the peptide synthesis process at all stages.

Isca routinely synthesises difficult peptides and peptides with unusual modifications and we have experience synthesising peptides with a wide and increasing range of amino acid modifications including N-terminal, C-terminal and side-chain modifications, fluorescent labels, D-amino acid and stable-isotope incorporation, biotinylation, glycosylation, post translational modifications, PEGylation and more.

Peptides are fully characterised with mass spectral and HPLC analyses, with additional analytical data such as amino acid analysis, sequencing, microanalysis and NMR available as required. We work with customers throughout the world and international enquiries are welcome.

Our catalogue peptide business is driven by the continuous introduction of innovative peptides from the literature, many of which are exclusive to Isca. We currently offer research peptides for signal transduction, pain research, appetite regulation, FRET substrates, immunology research, antiviral peptides, neuropeptides, protease reagents, antimicrobial peptides and kinase reagents and our range continues to expand, with our products cited by researchers worldwide and appearing regularly in high impact journals. Please browse our new product releases, and if you don’t see what you are looking for, let us know what peptides you buy and we’ll look to add them. It will be our pleasure to supply any in larger quantities.

We aim to make your peptide research simpler, faster and better.
